Camping Facilities

CAMPING

Bearley Woods is open all year round for both group camps and small parties passing through.

The site is also available for use on District Open Days.

Altar fires are the only fires allowed on the camping area, and an alternative means of cooking such as gas is advised. An electric range cooker is available in the hut kitchen.

Vehicles are only allowed on the camping area for delivery and collection of camping equipment.

Caravans are only permitted by prior arrangement and dogs (with the exception of guide dogs) are not permitted on the site at any time.

A telephone is situated in the Leaders' room of the scout hut and should be used in emergencies only.

Camping equipment is available for hire from 1st Bearley and Snitterfield Scout Group.

All rubbish must be taken away from the site at the end of the camp and burnable rubbish may be disposed of on the

camp fire circle.

SHOWERS AND WASHROOMS

There are separate male and female toilets which have

shower facilities. Hot and cold water is available in the toilet

block as well as the hut kitchen area.

INDOOR ACCOMODATION

The main Scout Hut can be used for wet weather in emergencies.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

A golf club with driving range can be found just out of Bearley.

The nearest town is Stratford-upon-Avon which is less than 5

miles away, and has all the Shakespearean attractions open

most of the year.

Stratford also has all the main high street banks, as well as

various supermarkets, chemists and gift shops. Warwick Castle

is 10 miles away and Kenilworth

Castle just 15 miles away
