Bearley Woods Scout Camp Site is situated in the rolling Warwickshire Countryside just 5 miles from Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon.

The campsite is on part of an old World War II airfield built as a class ‘A’ bomber site for the Americans in 1941. However, the airfield was not up to the standards required for take off and landing of the big American bombers and so became a Royal Air Force training base, closing in 1946.

The four acres of campsite include woodland and a designated campfire area. The adjacent woods are noted for being a Site of Special Scientific Interest (S.S.S.I.) and include many rare plants. During the spring the woodland ground turns blue as a carpet of bluebells flower each year.

Scouts have been using the site since 1969 and since then the site has enjoyed continuous development.
